Today we go for the hop on hop off bus that starts its tour at 10am so we have breakfast around 8.30am and by 9.30am we go to the central station where there should be a kiosk where we can buy our tickets, we want to buy an Oslo pass for 48 hours.
We see an information desk and they send us to the other building to the visitors' center. There they tell us they do not sell this and we have to go to the bus stop in front of the station...
There the driver of the hop on hop off also tells us he does not know this ticket but calls his office... We have to go a bit further around the corner at the bus stop where there is a desk and they sell this ticket... Finally!
We wait about 20 min before the bus comes and we get on. First we make an entire tour to get an overview and a bit before noon we get of at the Norsk Folkemuseum.
We walk around the old farm houses with the people in traditional clothes and see an amazing stave church...
Around 2.45pm we have a drink and a small lunch and then we walk to the Viking Ships museum which is just 5 min away. We are lucky as it starts to rain while we are in the museum which is very interesting.
When we get out the sun shines and it stopped raining. We take the bus back to the station and have a short walk.
At 5.30pm we are back in the hotel for a drink and some rest before getting ready for dinner at Onda.
As a starter a salad with lobster and king crab and as main course fresh cod. Very nice! Then to the hotel and sleep…
