Day 20 - Exploring the Arctic-Alpine Botanic Garden in Tromsø
Breakfast 8.30am and then we walk all the way to the botanical garden, almost 4km one way!
What a beautiful weather, sunny and a bit chilly but great!
The Arctic-Alpine Botanic Garden is the world’s northernmost botanical garden — where Arctic beauty meets mountain magic!
You explore rare flowers from the Himalayas to the Andes, all thriving under the midnight sun.
Open 24/7, free entry, and pure peace just above the Arctic Circle.
Then a walk back, we walk around the harbour side enjoying a beautiful sunny day.
It is getting quite busy as tonight the midnight sun marathon starts here!
Such a nice atmosphere, seeing the participants getting warmed up under the nice sun.
Around 4pm back at the hotel to get packed and a nice shower.
Around 6.30pm we have a little walk to Fangst for dinner where again our great waiter is Michael. Apparently he works at a clothes shop callew ‘min’.
We say goodbye to him with some sadness...
Yes, it was warm that day (in the sun)...
Two special flowers...
Look at those big tulips!

In front of Clarion hotel 'The Edge' in Tromsø stands a striking bronze sculpture by British artist Antony Gormley. The lifelike figure reflects Gormley's exploration of the human body in relation to space and environment, inviting contemplation in the heart of the city
No, I did not take part in the Midnight Sun Marathon in Tromsø ;-)

We had a very nice vacation! And really, we are coming back to Tromsø, but next time we will try in the winter to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)
