In our cabin there is a very interesting book called ‘Lofoten vibe’. We want to buy it at the reception but it is not available there in English but we are lucky as later on today when we stop somewhere for fuel we see in the shop the English version of the book and immediately buy it. Breakfast around 8am and around 10am we leave...
First stop Hamnoy to have a nice view of this beautiful village and the weather is great.
Then we drive along the coast until Å i Lofoten. We make some photo stops. Then to Offersøykammen as we hope to see some moose but no luck today.
Around 3pm it gets very cloudy, we decide to drive back and get a tiny bit of rain, just a few drops.
On our way back, on the Flakstadveien next to Mølnvågen we see rescue workers as there is a car upside down almost in the water... hopefully nobody is hurt.
Around 4pm back at our cabin to relax, shower and at 7pm back to Gammelbua for dinner.
Patrick has smoked whale carpaccio as starter and Nathalie the reindeer carpaccio and as main dish both the reindeer steak. Excellent! Really amazing food!
