Padinago's trip to Canada in 2015

Day 22 - Driving to Halifax, Nova Scotia

After breakfast we check out and leave PEI through the Confederation Bridge and arrive back on the main land of Nova Scotia.

It is about a 4 hours’ drive to Halifax and we did not plan anything so we decide to drive straight to Peggy’s Cove.

First we visit, as we did before when we were here a few years ago, the Swissair Flight 111 Memorial, the flight perished off the shores of Peggy’s Cove on September 2, 1998… impressive….

Then we drive on to the very busy parking lot of the lighthouse and first we have lunch at the Sou’Wester restaurant which is already quite full. Patrick was looking forward to their delicious chocolate cake they served here the last time we were here, but unfortunately they do not have it anymore on their menu. :-(

Afterwards we walk around the lighthouse and we enjoy the beautiful weather! There is even a bagpipe player playing and allowing us to take some pictures. Like always, this little village is a pleasure to visit and walk around.

Around 5pm we check in again at the hotel where we started our trip a few weeks ago. This means that our holidays are almost over…

Later on we have a walk at the Halifax Public Gardens just across our hotel. Also here it is a big party today for the graduates! Fantastic!
