Padinago's trip to Canada in 2015

Day 02 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Shortly after 8am we go for breakfast at Cora’s which we already know from our trip in 2012.

After breakfast we walk to the Citadel and then on to the Waterfront Boardwalk. There is a lot of wind which makes it very cold. We walk over the entire boardwalk and by noon we arrive at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market for a short visit and some hot drinks.

Meanwhile the sun finally starts to shine and we walk back on the boardwalk to Murphy’s for lunch, a great fish and chips.

In the afternoon we walk around and pass the Old Town Clock at the Citadel’s entrance. Although the sun is shining, it is still quite fresh because of the wind. We walk on and visit the Halifax Public Garden where, a bit later, we have another hot drink.

We have another short walk and then back to the hotel. It was a nice and quiet day.

After a nice shower we dress warmly and walk to a restaurant which we already know from our previous visit to Halifax, the Five Fishermen. We have a nice filet mignon with lobster and a bottle of Zinfandel…

After being well filled and enjoying all the nice food we walk back to the hotel for an early sleep.

Daytrip approx. 10 km
