Day 14 - Driving to Senja (North)
Around 8.00am we get our breakfast basket at the hotel’s reception, have our breakfast and leave around 9am.
We drive to Hamn i Senja.
We stop at several places on the way like some war memorials, Finssnes (where Patrick was attacked by Artic Terns when he goes to Finnsnesvannet to take some photos) and Svandalen Naturreservat... it starts to rain...
The weather totally clears up and we get beautiful sunny weather.
We park our car and take a short hike to Nikkelverk (an ols nickel mine from 1869 to 1886 where up to 400 people worked and the community grew up to 650 inhabitants) where we see two reindeer.
Then a hike up to Utsikten where we have a view over Hamn i Senja.
Then at the hotel where we get a beautiful suite with view on the tiny harbour.
Dinner in the hotel and we both have fish soup, fish and chips.
After dinner a little walk along the boardwalk and there we see several hottubs to be used by hotel guests but too cold and the room is a little walk from them so we will be freezing, we decide it is not for us.
As we can see that it is a beautiful day and this is the place to be to see the midnight sun, we decide to go back outside and to seel a good place on a hill until midnight.
Luckily we where here urly, because it's getting crowded!
We have an amazing view on the midnight sun!
After this we go satified to bed...
