Day 18 - Driving to Boise, Idaho

After our last great breakfast at Spur we check out and drive to Boise. On the hotel's parking we see a small weasel stealing a magpie's food and disappearing with it under the parked cars while the magpie tries to recover its food. Beautiful! On the parking we also see a lot of paragliders comming down from Rendezvous Mountain.

In the meantime we get an e-mail from our travel agency that the tour operator already repaid 20% of our rental car as a compensation for the Albuquerque car problem. That's very nice of JetAir!

We drive to Jackson Hole to get some cheesecake from the Bunnery for our lunch later.

We then drive over the Teton Pass and on to our next stop, the very well hidden but amazing Falls Creek Falls. Then we drive on through Idaho Falls where we take the highway. About 17 km from Idaho Falls we stop for a short rest by the lavafields (Hell’s Half Acre) and take a small walk around the lavafields, it is now very hot here!
We see plenty of hawks, a few osprays and a blue heron.

We drive on to the Shoshone Falls (aka "Niagara of the West") in Twin Falls. Beautiful!

Then we continue our drive to our hotel, check in and take a refreshing massage shower.

We then drive about 3kms to the shopping mall where the Cheesecake Factory is located and have an excellent dish with shrimps and angelhair followed by a Dulce Leche Caramel Cheesecake and a Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. Yummie!!!

After dinner we drive back to the hotel for a good night's sleep.

Daytrip approx. 662 km
