Today will be about the same as yesterday. We first have a small breakfast at the hotel but it's full of Japanese tourists and it's so busy here. Later on we get some fuel and food for our picnic.

We have to change our plans because of the weather. We drive up the mountains and there we get really nice views because of the fresh snow from last night... this is like a fairytale. Today we really get lots of rain or snow followed by sun and so on...

When we drive up to Tower we see, for the third day in a row, the mother bear and her 2 cubs again. This time we are on a better spot and can take some very nice pictures of the little ones.

We drive up to the Lamar Valley hoping to see a wolf, but it will not be for this year. We drive back and go for a walk at the Mammoth Hot Springs and a drive on the Upper Terrace Loop Drive. The weather is changing and we even get some sun.

We drive around and on our way from Mammoth to Tower we see 4 bears in just a couple of minutes. Two of them are making sure there will be a next generation! ;-) There is a ranger present and he gives us an explanation of the bears love life. Interesting!

Overall it was a beautiful day and we saw a lot of beautiful places and animals.

In the late afternoon we get back to the hotel for a nice shower and have again dinner with our friends David and Donna. Afterwards we say goodbye and go to bed early.
