Padinago's trip to the USA in 2013

Day 2 - A walk in San Francisco, California

After a good sleep we get up early and look for a place to have breakfast... we walk around the piers and ask a local guy if he knows a good address, he brings us at Joanie's Happy Days café, very good, great pancakes!

We walk on Fisherman's wharf, at pier 39 we see the famous sea lions. We walk all the way down to pier 9, close to the Bay Bridge. It is very busy there as a cruise ship juist arrived and everybody is unloading...

Then we walk back and take the hop on hop off bus which gives us a great tour of the famous places, we pass through Chinatown, Painted Ladies (the famous Victorian houses), Golden Gate bridge (here we get of because of some noisy people behind us make it impossible for us to hear the guide and we have a hot chocolate as it is very windy and cold), we take our time for some nice pictures of the bridge in the fog which gives a great effect and then we hop on the next bus back to the pier (passing close to Lombard street where there is a huge line of cars waiting to drive down the croockiest street). We ride the tour twice and at the end we get of at the pier, it is now very cold! We have a hot coffee at café Boudin, walk around the shops and back to the hotel for a hot shower.

As it is already late and we had a cold day, we decide to go back next door to Pescatore, for dinner. After a nice meal and a long day we go to sleep.

There are not so many sea lions @ Pier 7 looking at the Transamerica Pyramid A view of Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill @ The entrance of Pier 39 City Hall Golden Gate Bridge @ The corner of Haight and Baker
