Day 12 - Glacier National Park

Around 7.30am we have breakfast in our hotel. It was not included but the food was good so that was ok for us.

After breakfast we drive to Glacier National Park where we intend to take the Going-To-The-Sun-Route. It starts raining and a bit later we arrive at a roadblock. The road is still closed for traffic (there is still too much snow), it is only open for pedestrians. We park our car and go for a walk. It is beautiful but the nicest part of the road is not reachable for us by foot so we decide to walk a few kilometers and then return and take the car to see another part of the park.

When we our back in the car and on our way we stop at the Sprague Creek Campground to have a picnic. A bit later the sky clears up and the sun appears. We drive on and see some nice places where we enjoy the view.

When we drive back to the hotel we arrive at a local store. A bit later we leave the store and walk around the corner to the "Swan Mountain Outfitters" where we see some beautiful horses. Nathalie is excited! We have a short chat with the employees there.

A bit later we say goodbye and drive back to our hotel where we arrive around 5.30pm. Around 7pm we drive back to "Nickel Charlie" for dinner.

After a nice dinner we go back to the hotel and go to sleep.

Daytrip approx. 226 km
